Approaches and Strategies

  • Developing Model Education Villages for Nation, one in central region nearby Kathmandu valley and next in mid west region, very lower level in human development index in Nepal, that are Duwachaur VDC, Sindhupalchowk and Gamtha VDC, Mugu.
  • Enhancing the involvement of community people towards educational activities and institutions
  • Encouraging and strengthening SMCs and PTA to take the responsibility of management of the schools
  • Promote child friendly and child centered learning and teaching tools, techniques and materials.
  • Improving the child friendly school environment, particularly class room environment in the school (Primary Level to Secondary)
  • Establishing the Early Child Development Centers (CDCs) with the active participation of the community and initiating the gradual process to handover the whole management of centers
  • Reducing under age children’s enrollment as well as retention of enrolled children in grade one by establishing and running CDC effectively targeting age group 3-5 years children
  • Building relation with the community and mobilizing them effectively from the initial phase of the program
  • Collecting and updating Information regarding situation of community people, more specifically the situation of women and children
  • Developing the feeling of ownership on the initiated programs among the community people along with developing required skills, knowledge and experiences working together by following "learning by doing approach"
  • Involving the government, more specifically local government bodies, for program implementing throughout the process and resource sharing
  • Building transparency, accountable and participatory culture to the whole process of the program intervention
  • Encouraging children for their own two way learning, teaching and sharing culture among themselves to complement to have quality education and entertain their rights
  • Update improvements and progress of the implemented programs by regular supervision, monitoring as well as periodical review and evaluation of programs that gives future direction
  • Promoting vocational skills of youth (drop outs and out of school children/youth) through local vocational training schools/centers in coordination with schools
  • Initiating awareness and education campaigns to raise awareness on Child rights and quality and inclusive and education and role of community and concern government and non government organizations for the same.
  • Promote to establish culture and reliable mechanism/systems for collaboration between government and community people
