Child Nepal (CN) has launched the EU supported project 'EVMCN ' with the partnership of Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN). Mainly the programs are designing to support and promote the quality education especially for the group of children who are vulnerable socially, economically and geographically. The project is launched in three districts: Sindhupalchok, Dolakha and Ramechhap.

Overall objective:

To contribute towards achieving the goal of inclusive education for closing the 'access gap 'of the most vulnerable communities and population of groups

Specific objectives:

  1. To increase the access of children of marginalized and vulnerable populations to education
  2. strengthening the capacities of public schools and local communities to manage the school environment
  3. Enhancing the level of communities of civil society organizations and local authorities (DEO, DDC and VDC) towards improving the access of children to quality education.
  4. Promoting peace

Major Activities:

  1. Increase the access of education
    • 3600 scholarship package program
    • 45 Out of school program
    • 30 Early child hood development centers establishment
  2. School facilities and improvement
    • 15 Community learning centers establishment
    • improved education facilities in 25 public schools
    • Establishment community monitoring and evaluation committee for the quality education
    • Training for 360 teachers for better performance of education and environment
  3. Institutional strengthening of (CSOs, SMC, PTA, NGOs, youth clubs, mothers group, child clubs etc.)
    • 3 days Training to the community monitoring and evaluation committee about quality education
    • Establish effective community monitoring in partnership with school management committee Sub committee formation)
    • Exposure visit
    • 27 events of different sports, competition and cultural program ( related as promoting the peace)
  4. Raising level of commitments of communities, CSOs and local authorities toward quality education
    • Phase out orientation training
    • handover and takeover the programs for its quality and sustainability


  1. District level introductory planning workshop
  2. VDC level planning workshop
  3. Orientation to the project staff working in the field
  4. Selection of facilitators for Early Childhood Development Centers and Out of School Program
  5. ECD and OSP training fixed and process of training curriculum/module preparing
